One Set Studio Taps Industry Leader Tāva Maloy Sofsky as Director

Sofsky brings strategic vision and award-winning background to the certified soundstage.

OKLAHOMA CITY — One Set Studio, an initiative of Public Strategies, takes immense pride in announcing the hiring of Tāva Maloy Sofsky as director. An Oklahoma native with extensive Hollywood experience, Sofsky is returning to her roots to support One Set Studio’s groundbreaking production work.

The recently launched virtual production studio contributes revolutionary technologies and creative storytelling to the region’s burgeoning film landscape. Sofsky’s background—encompassing commercials and Academy Award-winning productions—aligns with One Set’s focus on diverse mediums and boundless innovation.

“One Set Studio has arrived at the perfect moment for this region,” said Sofsky, who has been an industry leader in changing the landscape of film and music in her previous roles as Director for the Oklahoma Film + Music Office and the Cherokee Film Commission over the past decade. “We are poised not only to create our own quality productions, but also to complement the capacity of nearby creatives, optimizing how they produce all forms of media.”

All One Set Studio production staff—led by Austin Patterson, Senior Manager of Digital Production—have been trained and certified in virtual production by Disguise, the number one virtual production platform on the market.

The Oklahoma Film + Music Office has designated One Set Studio as a certified soundstage whereby productions who are eligible for the Filmed in Oklahoma Act of 2021, may qualify for a 5% uplift on their cash rebate if they film at our studio.
