Familyhood Statewide Training Cold Open

Overview

One Set Studio collaborated with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services to produce a high-impact cold open for their statewide training conference. The goal was to create a visually engaging and emotionally resonant introduction that would immediately capture the attention of social workers and staff members participating in the training.

Challenge

Our goals for the video included rapt audience attention, seamless logistical flow, and brand cohesiveness. One Set Studio’s cold open effectively transitioned the audience from a busy networking environment into a focused, learning-ready mindset. High-quality, cinematic visuals reflected the “Familyhood” theme without the logistical burden and cost of multiple physical locations.

Strategy & Approach

Filming in One Set Studio’s controlled environment allowed for flexible scheduling and rapid capture of multiple visual looks in a single day. Carefully selected talent helped create an immediate emotional connection with viewers, while high-fidelity, in-camera LED backgrounds streamlined post-production by reducing reliance on traditional VFX.

Outcomes

We delivered a cinematic experience to open the training and set a professional tone for the 800-person conference. The video received four internationally competitive Telly awards related to its cinematography, sound, editing, and overall production.
